Why did we choose these ingredients?

Pearl: Benefits come from its abundance of calcium, magnesium, and iron, plus conchiolin, an impressive protein composed of 17 skin-loving amino acids. Conchiolin hydrates the skin, rebuilds collagen and increases skin’s barrier action for retaining moisture. It also tones skin and inhibits melanin production to even out skin tone. The addition of pearl is also one of the ways this product acts as a primer as well as a moisturizer. It can control your oil production and absorb any excess. This is also the ingredient we use to deflect and reflect light on your skin giving you that refined glow.

Highlighter:

1. Prep Your Base: Start with your usual foundation and concealer routine. We hope that includes a few custom choices from Mix Cosmetiques!
2. Apply Highlighter: Using a fluffy brush or your fingertips, gently apply highlighter to the high points of your face where light naturally hits. These areas typically include the tops of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, the brow bone, and the cupid’s bow (the dip in your upper lip).
3. Blend: Blend the highlighter using soft, circular motions to ensure a seamless, natural-looking glow.
4. Build as Needed: If you want a more intense highlight, you can layer the product gradually until you reach your desired level of radiance.

Bronzer:

1. Find Your Contour: Look for the hollows of your cheeks by making a fish face or sucking in your cheeks. This is where you’ll apply bronzer to create definition.
2. Apply Bronzer: Using a fluffy angled brush, lightly sweep bronzer along the hollows of your cheeks, starting from the hairline near your ears and blending towards the center of your cheeks.
3. Blend: Blend the bronzer using light, upward strokes to avoid harsh lines. You can also apply bronzer along the jawline, temples, and hairline for added warmth and dimension. Think about places where your face tans first!
4. Build Gradually: Start with a small amount of bronzer and gradually build up the intensity until you achieve your desired contouring effect. Starting too strong can end up making it look like there’s dirt on your face.
5. Highlight and Contour Combo: For an extra sculpted look, you can apply highlighter above the bronzer on the tops of your cheekbones to accentuate the contrast between light and shadow.
