Why did we choose these ingredients?

Niacinamide: Research keeps showing it is truly one of the most effective ingredients around. Also known as vitamin B3 and nicotinamide, niacinamide is a water-soluble vitamin that works with the natural substances in your skin to help minimize enlarged pores, tighten overextended pores, improve skin tone, soften fine lines and wrinkles, diminish dullness, and strengthen a weakened skin barrier. Unlike so many other powerful skincare ingredients Niacinamide is compatible with all of the other ingredient you might use in your daily routine including; retinol, peptides, hyaluronic acid, AHAs, BHA, vitamin C, and all types of antioxidants (many of which have been included in this formulation). If you struggle with dry skin, topical application of niacinamide has been shown to boost the hydrating ability of moisturizers so skin’s surface can better resist the moisture loss that leads to recurrent dry, tight, flaky skin.

Blue Tansy: Contains a wealth of compounds but chamazulene (a mighty anti-oxidant) and A-bisabolol are known powerhouses famous for their anti-histaminic, anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-microbial properties. A-bisabolol also act as a catalyst, helping other active ingredients to penetrate the skin and offer the highest possible efficacy.

Pearl: Benefits come from its abundance of calcium, magnesium, and iron, plus conchiolin, an impressive protein composed of 17 skin-loving amino acids. Conchiolin hydrates the skin, rebuilds collagen and increases skin’s barrier action for retaining moisture. It also tones skin and inhibits melanin production to even out skin tone. The addition of pearl is also one of the ways this product acts as a primer as well as a moisturizer. It can control your oil production and absorb any excess. This is also the ingredient we use to deflect and reflect light on your skin giving you that refined glow.

Silk: Hydrates, nourishes, preserves, strengthens and protects against the harsh effects of UV radiation and oxidation, promotes damage repair, helps smooth the signs of aging, soothes irritation even on the most sensitive of skin, balances both moisture and tone to encourage elasticity for skin that looks and feels healthier. The special structure offers sparkle that helps reflect light, giving it a naturally sleek and shimmering quality that brings radiance to the skin.

To apply, place a pea-sized dot wherever you desire some coverage. Then blend out with your hands to warm up the formula and help it melt into your skin (a sponge also comes in handy for working it around your nose). There is no need to apply any other product except this one after washing your face, whether you have it tinted or not. If you have a specific skin condition you want to target you can add a toner to the routine. If you want a less overall dew factor, a quick swipe of finishing powder across your nose and chin sets everything beautifully for a demi-matte finish.
