In this hands-on workshop, you’ll explore the world of organic skincare, experiment with nourishing oils and botanicals, and leave with a luxurious lotion made just for you. No experience needed—just curiosity, creativity, and a love for self-care.

In our Lotion Making Workshop, you’ll discover what makes a lotion more than just a moisturizer—it’s a little jar of self-care made by your own hands. We’ll guide you through the essentials of skincare ingredients, from carrier oils and humectants to emollients and gentle preservatives, showing you how each one works to nourish and protect your skin.
Then comes the fun part: blending your perfect lotion. Play with textures, scents, and ingredients to create a formula that feels like it was made just for you. Choose from our selection of essential oils or design your own signature fragrance. By the end of the class, you’ll walk away with roughly 10 oz of your own custom lotion—a product that’s as unique as your skin.

The lip gloss workshop was so much fun! Lanae was warm, kind, and welcoming. She encouraged trial and error as well as getting messy! Her knowledge of the ingredients and what properties they added to the gloss (pigment, moisture, long wearing, etc.) were extremely helpful in creating the perfect gloss! I love my new lip gloss and will be back for other classes!
My aunt brought me to this class for a birthday present. What a fun thing to do! Lanea was knowledgeable and fun, she explained everything clearly and I learned a lot! I loved that the products were body and earth conscious. I also loved that I could choose different ingredients to make my bath salts to my specific needs and likes. We also enjoyed shopping after, we each picked up lotion and bug balm. I am already planning my next visit!
My 2 daughters and I took the lotion class. We had a wonderful time. Out instructor was patient, friendly, informative, and you could tell she loved her job. We will be taking another class if we make it back to Duluth.
I would highly recommend Mix Cosmetiques for a fun outing, such as their bath bomb making class. It was amazing and so much fun! And of course the bath bombs were so nice to use! And smelled amazing!

We highly recommend making a reservation to ensure we can serve you. While we do take walk-ins when there is availability, we can’t always guarantee service without a reservation.
Each individual service is priced differently. Please, refer to each workshop page for the cost of the service.
Reservation times vary and depend on the number of guests and the workshop you choose. It is common to plan on 1 hour for up to 4 people, 1 1/2 hours for 4-6 and up to 2 hours for 6 or more people.
To reschedule your reservation, please see your confirmation email to cancel or reschedule your reservation. Can’t find it? Reach out to customer service here.
To add more guests, make an additional reservation for them at the same time. If there are no other available reservations, please email customer service and we will do our best to see if there is availability.
To remove guests, please cancel via your confirmation email and rebook your reservation with the correct number of people. Your bookings block seats from other guests so please do not hold onto more seats than you need.
We understand things happen. We offer a 10-minute grace period and will try to accommodate after that period if we have availability. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may need to reschedule you.
